Madison County Fair Provides Respite for Disaster Victims

Romeo Entertainment Group (REG) Service Representatives Steve Bogdanovich (Bogie) and Jamie Meyer ventured to Madison, Nebraska for the Madison County Fair for the Billy Currington and Brett Eldredge show on July 12th, and the Josh Thompson and Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers on the 13th.

The fair experienced beautiful weather and great crowds, a lot to be thankful for when it comes to outdoor events. Bogie and Madison County Fair representatives noted a group of attendees that needed the joys of the fair more than most.   In June, a pair of tornadoes decimated the small town of Pilger, Nebraska.  The tornadoes ripped through the business district area, destroying a significant number of buildings and then the residential area taking out every home in its path.  The largest loss of all was the death of two Pilger residents.  While they have spent the past month picking up the pieces, some Pilger residents were able to set their worries aside for at least a few hours and take in the sights, smells, and sounds Madison County Fair offered.  These guests were treated to a special memorable moment when Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers invited them backstage for a meet and greet and private acoustic performance. Fun at the fair turned into opportunity for heart healing, thanks to the Madison County Fair and the Gatlin Brothers.
