The International Entertainment Buyers Association (IEBA) just announced its selection of Romeo Entertainment Group (REG) for the prestigious Industry Achievement Award. The honor went to REG for “it’s decades of success as one of the largest independent talent buying agencies and entertainment producers in the entertainment industry.” Pam Matthews, Executive Director of IEBA, was quoted in the Press Release as saying, “everyone in the business knows a Romeo date is always a great date because excellent client service with a personal touch is in the family DNA.”
When REG Vice President, Steve Bogdanovich (Bogie) heard the news, he said that he is “proud to be associated with the Romeo family and very proud of our team who’s done such a great job.” Fran Romeo, President of REG, said that she is “honored, and that the company would not be where it is at if it was not for the incredible people we work with. People always say we are a family owned business and I think we are a business that has people that are family!”
Bogie received the IEBA Fair Buyer of the Year Award in 2013, and much to his embarrassment there was a large contingent of REG co-workers to hoot, holler and cheer for him. With 2014 being REG’s 60th Anniversary and such an honor to be bestowed, the next IEBA Conference is sure to be a gathering for this family owned and cherished company.
IEBA’s 44th Annual Conference will be held September 27th through the 30th in Nashville. They will honor industry members and present Hall of Fame Inductees on September 30th. The full Press Release can be read at IEBA’s Media page.
